Arkansas Earth Day Festival and Concert 2008 Produced in partnership between Arkansas Earth Day Festival and William J. Clinton Foundation. Saturday, April 26, 2008 11am-4pm

Festival Vision:

In conjunction with the William J. Clinton Foundation, the Arkansas Earth Day Foundation is producing the Arkansas Earth Day Festival and Concert on Saturday, April 26,2008. The free statewide festival, to be held on the grounds of the Clinton Presidential Center from 11am to 4pm, is designed to educate and energize individuals, businesses and government to take responsibility for a clean and healthy environment. With a range of fun and interactive experiences, from healthy food options to eco-friendly shopping opportunities, the festival aims to motivate all Arkansans and their families to take positive action for our environment while celebrating Earth Day. The Concert, to be held at the ArtScene in North Little Rock from 7pm to 11pm, will host live music, artists at work, and a green fashion show. The 2008 theme is "What Can YOU Do?" We want to give attendees positive and simple ideas for greening their lifestyle. Remember 'Hope Grows'!

Festival History:

The first Arkansas Earth Day Festival was held in 2004. With an attendance of only 300, the festival has since grown exponentially to nearly 10,000 attendees in 2007. Founded by April Ambrose in collaboration with the Arkansas Center for the Study of Integrative Medicine, Arkansas Earth Day Foundation began as Conway Earth Day Foundation.

The non-profit organization has no paid employees and produces the Arkansas Earth Day festival each year with college interns and volunteers just like you. All donations or proceeds from the festival are used to produce the following year's event or for year-round environmental education activities.
