Claire LaFrance is the Executive Director of the Arkansas Earth Day Foundation. Mrs. LaFrance also currently holds the position of Policy Associate for the Ecological Conservation Organization (ECO), another environmental non-profit, where she works on a federal level and here in the state on issues of antibiotic resistance, human health and, most predominately, climate change. Prior to this position, Claire relocated to Arkansas to work at the Heifer International's Learning Center teaching experiential education around issues of hunger and poverty. Claire holds a B.A. in Political Science from Wheaton College in Massachusetts. Prior to moving to Arkansas, Mrs. LaFrance has worked for local non-profits in the Boston area tackling such issues as beach preservation and restoration, immigrant rights, and water privatization. Claire also dedicates her time volunteering in her spare time for Arkansas Take Action and the West Memphis Three case along with teaming up with her dog, Caddo, visiting patients of Arkansas Hospice’s Pet Therapy Program.
