As an environmental educator, lecturer, columnist, public relations and business consultant, Shelley Green has been a long time advocate for personal and environmental health and ways to care for our natural environment. She opened The Green Corner Store to showcase local and sustainably-made products in the summer of 2009. In 2006, she founded the Arkansas Earth Institute which organizes discussion groups that inspire individuals to take responsibility for Earth. She writes a monthly column on green living. She co-founded the Sustainable Business Network of Central Arkansas and serves on the Board for the Southside Main Street Project. She served on the Little Rock Sustainability Commission, is a member of Green America, the Central Arkansas Master Naturalists and the Arkansas Environmental Education Association. She enjoys being outdoors and organic gardening at the 15th Street Community Garden. She moved to Little Rock in 2005 with her husband and golden retriever. They have three sons and two grandsons living on the West Coast.
